Joe Handlon, Lawn Crew

On November 1, 2015, God radically set me free.  I went from the Elkhart hospital to the Teen Challenge in Portland, Oregon where God revealed Himself to me in a way that changed everything about my life.  After graduating from there,  I moved back to Indiana to be close to my son, Gage.  Today I work on the lawn crew for North Central Indiana Teen Challenge.  This is a way God can use my life and I can give back to the ministry that helped save mine.

Thomas Myers, Work Experience Manager

I am excited to be a part of the same ministry that introduced me to Christ.  It is a privilege to serve men here who were once on the same path as I was and to see them walk with Jesus in freedom.  With the help of God and the tools that I learned here, my relationship with my son and my family has been restored.  God has called me to missions and I'm ecstatic to see where and how I get to glorify the name of Jesus.

Andy Bowman, Academic Coordinator

Andy Bowman is from Toledo, Ohio and was raised in the church but never walked in a relationship with Jesus Christ.  I struggled with a heroin addiction and a life filled with sin.  In June of 2008, I entered Western Michigan Teen Challenge has never been the same since.  The love of Jesus Christ immediately compelled me. I came to North Central Indiana Teen Challenge in 2015 as an intern and now serve as the academic coordinator.

Rick Gackstetter, Kitchen Manager

I came to NCITC in 2011 when my addiction to alcohol became so overpowering I lost the ablity to live.  I was lying, cheating and stealing and I lost all my friends and family.  ...But God!!  I have received Him as my Lord and Savior, He has renewed my life and is restoring my relationships with my family.  I currently serve as the Kitchen Manager at NCITC.

Josh Eaton, Student Development

Josh graduated from Dallas Teen Challenge in 2010.  In the midst of addiction, on June 10, 2008, the Lord came to him in a powerful way.  His voice resonated in my soul with such power that I was delivered immediately.  After graduating in 2010, I met my wife and we moved to Indiana in 2014 to work at NCITC.  He is doing great things in our midst.  Not only in the lives of the students, but He continues to take my wife and I deeper into who He is and who He has called us to be.

Andy Collins, Executive Director

Andy Collins is a graduate of Dallas Teen Challenge.  He is passionate about Jesus and truth.  He says he has the best job in the world, being privileged to see God's transforming power and miracles at work on a daily basis.  He loves to travel and teach wherever God calls.  Andy is married and has two wonderful kids.

Eric Swanson, Program Manager

Derrick Lyons, Intake Coordinator

Nine years ago when I entered Western Michigan Teen Challenge, I was a depressed, suicidal drug addict without any hope or desire to live.  Shortly after entering the prgraom, I encountered the powerful grace and mercy of Jesus.  During my time as a student, God called me to minister full-time and I love it!  I have a wonderful wife, son and dog that God has blessed me with.  I look forward to many more years of serving the Lord in the ministry of Teen Challenge.

Eric Swanson is a graduate of Western Michigan Teen Challenge.  He currently serves as Program Manager.
